Inspiration: Associated Press photo from Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Saturday August 28 2004, Section 3A; photo image of “Displaced " Sudanese family members pounding spice outside their hut at the Abu Shouk Camp in North Darfur Sudan. This image inspired the artist to return from a period of creative inactivity to resume more active practice for personal creative/artistic development and growth. The completion of this work can be viewed as a re-emergence for the artist.
